Luger P.08
9x19mm Parabellum
This famous German pistol known for the toggle style of slide was developed in 1900 and used through WW I and WW II. The top image with the 8 inch barrel is the Artillery model, which has an adjustable distance sight and would sometimes have a wooden shoulder stock attachment.
Handles were originally a hard bakelite plastic or wood. It is the pistol for which Luger also developed the 9x19mm Parabellum round that is the most common ammunition for semi-automatic pistols today. The P08 is still in limited production.
