In use since 1987 with special forces (Spetsiálnaya), this is a marksman/sniper rifle with an integrated suppressor firing subsonic 9x39 rounds.
It is shown here with a PSO-1 style scope
It can be quickly disassembled in the field without tools for concealment and ease of transport.
