MP-443
9x39 (7N21 semi-armor-piercing)
This new standard Russian sidearm was adopted in 2003 following military trials to replace the Makarov but mass production didn't start until 2011 due to costs and the high numbers of Makarovs in service.
It is double-action and mostly ambidextrous with 17 or 18 round magazines. The civilian version is named MP-446 Viking.
